BlackBoard

The Blackboard Learning System is the course management system used by most online courses at RLC. It will serve as your primary source for online course participation, including viewing lectures, submitting assignments, etc. Once you have logged in, your online courses will be listed and available in the “My Courses” module at the right of the screen. For more on Blackboard access, click here. To get started, log in.

LRC

The Learning Resource Center has resources such as books, periodicals, newspapers, DVDs, CDs, a Children’s Library. Online students will find many electronic resources that can be accessed without coming to campus. When you are on campus, the LRC has great facilities for study, research, leisure reading, class preparation, and Internet access. We encourage you to come in and use the many resources and services the LRC has available to make your Rend Lake College experience even more successful!

Experiencing technical difficulties? Give our IT Help Desk a call. Information Technology provides students, faculty, and staff with computer equipment, network access, and technical support. CHILDREN'S CENTER 
The choice for RLC students, employees, and families in the community for years. On-campus convenience, payment options and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. We offer care to children 6 weeks to 5 years old throughout the school year. Summer care up to 12 years. Your child will thrive through play-based curriculum delivered by our qualified staff.

BOOKSTORE 
View the current semester list of textbooks and learn about our rental and return procedures that save RLC students thousands each year. The Bookstore also houses our Retail Center where you can pick up supplies for class and fresh Warriors shirts, pants, jackets, hats and more.     

Submitting a Complaint

An informal complaint should be addressed with the appropriate faculty or staff member. If the issue is not resolved, the student may initiate a formal complaint by submitting the online form. The complaint will be assigned to an administrator to investigate and render a decision.

If you have a complaint that needs to be addressed, please follow the process in the Student Handbook outlined here: Rend Lake College Student Handbook - Complaint Process. Any questions regarding the complaint process should be directed to the Vice President of Student Services.

Rend Lake College is committed to resolving student complaints in a prompt and fair manner. The college works diligently to find positive resolutions to all student concerns. Please exhaust all avenues of complaint resolution both informally and formally before going outside the College.

If you are an Out of State student and have a complaint that you feel has not been resolved through the formal complaint process, you may file a complaint with the state in which you reside. In compliance with federal and state regulations, the list of state agencies with contact information for each state is listed here: Student Complaint Information by State. You may also contact the Illinois Community College Board regarding complaints where you feel the College’s resolution is unreasonable.
