Some of Rend Lake College’s most talented students are putting their best works forward during RLC’s annual Student Art Show.
The Student Art Show is set for Thursday, March 16, through Friday, April 14. According to RLC Art Instructor Melissa McClement-Engler, works on display include those created by RLC students as well as winners of various art scholarships from area high schools. The pieces will be on display in the Learning Resource Center and Theatre.
The collection will be eclectic, including ceramics, jewelry, painting, prints and other art forms.
The reception for the show will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, with the awards conferred at 7 p.m. Monetary awards will be given for first, second and third places.
Refreshments will be provided by Rend Lake College’s Culinary Arts program.
After the reception, the exhibit will be available for public viewing from 7:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
